Government Grants for Home Repair are an option available to some homeowners to help with the increasing costs of home improvement. The federal government has several programs available through different departments that include funding and government insured loans to pay for the purchase and repair or rehabilitation of existing homes or the construction of new homes, as well as emergency assistance for repairs to damage caused by natural disaster. There are also many financing options available through private banks and other lending sources. The various options include:

FEMA -The Federal Emergency Management Agency has funding to assist homeowners in paying for some types of damage caused by natural disasters.

CFP Direct Loan - The Department of Agriculture offers assistance for homeowners through it's Rural Development Housing & Community Facilities Program.
